Stage hire in London
A trailer stage suits London events better than almost anywhere else in the country, for one reason: occupation time. Parks, commons and squares in London are expensive to hold, tightly licensed and rarely available for a three-day scaffold build. A trailer stage arrives on one vehicle, unfolds, and is off site the same night.
The 42sqm TS42 is standing in around 40 minutes. The largest 61sqm stage is fully erected in under three hours.
Driving into London: LEZ and the Direct Vision Standard
Two things catch out suppliers who do not work in London regularly.
The Low Emission Zone covers almost all of Greater London and runs 24 hours a day, every day. Heavy vehicles have to meet Euro VI or pay a daily charge.
The Direct Vision Standard applies to every lorry over 12 tonnes entering Greater London. Since 28 October 2024, a lorry needs at least a three-star direct vision rating or a fitted Progressive Safe System, plus a valid HGV Safety Permit. Operating without one carries a penalty of up to £550 per day.
Ask any supplier quoting for a London event to confirm their vehicle emissions status and HGV Safety Permit in writing — including us. We will send ours with the quote. It matters because the charge and the penalty land on the event, not on the haulier.
Where our stages go in London and the South East
Park and common events at Finsbury Park, Victoria Park, Clapham Common, Crystal Palace Park, Alexandra Palace and Burgess Park; borough summer festivals, melas and community days; town centre events across the home counties in Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire and Sussex, including Brighton, Reading, Luton and Milton Keynes.
Access in tight sites
The stage travels as a towed trailer, so what matters is the route in, the turning circle and a level footprint — not a three-day compound. Send us the site location and access photographs when you check your date and we will tell you which of the three stages fits before you commit.

Common questions about stage hire in London
Do you charge extra for London?
Delivery, build and de-rig are included in the day rate. Congestion Charge and any LEZ or ULEZ liability are passed on at cost where they apply, and we will tell you up front.
What about DVS and the Low Emission Zone?
Send us the site and the date and we will confirm the vehicle we are sending, its emissions status and its HGV Safety Permit in writing with the quote.
Can you build overnight?
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which suits London road closures and early load-in windows.
Get a date held for London
Tell us the date, the site and roughly how many people. We will come back with the stage that fits and a price that includes getting it there, building it and taking it away.
