Stage hire in Scotland, from a Scottish depot
Most national stage suppliers quote Scotland as a long-distance job with two days of travel built in. We do not, because one of our three depots is at Dumfries. From there the central belt is a straightforward run: Glasgow and Edinburgh are both comfortably inside a working morning, and Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway are on the doorstep.
Further north — Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and the Highlands — is longer but entirely normal work. Tell us the postcode and we will be straight about what the travel adds.
Low Emission Zones in Scottish cities
Scotland has four Low Emission Zones, covering the city centres of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee. They operate continuously and apply to heavy vehicles as well as cars. If your event is inside one of those zones, ask your supplier to confirm the emissions status of the vehicle they are sending, in writing, before you book — we will send ours with the quote.
Weather, wind and Scottish sites
Wind is the thing that stops outdoor stages, and Scottish sites see more of it. Our stages come with structural calculations and a wind management plan, and the roof and PA wings have defined limits. We would rather have that conversation with you in March than at 6am on the day, so ask for the wind loading figures when you check your date and build them into your event safety plan.
Where our stages go in Scotland
Civic and park events in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Highland games and agricultural shows, town gala days and common ridings across the Borders, music events, sporting fixtures and community festivals from Dumfries and Galloway to the Highlands.
How long the build takes
The 42sqm TS42 is standing in around 40 minutes. The largest 61sqm stage is fully erected in under three hours. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Common questions about stage hire in Scotland
Do you charge more for Scottish deliveries?
Delivery, build and de-rig are included in the day rate. For the far north and the islands there may be an additional travel cost, and we will tell you what it is before you commit rather than after.
Do you cover the Highlands and Islands?
The mainland Highlands, yes. Islands depend on the ferry and the date — ask and we will check.
Get a date held for Scotland
Tell us the date, the site and roughly how many people. We will come back with the stage that fits and a price that includes getting it there, building it and taking it away.
