Our History.
Marquee Hire - Where it began.
In 2004, Whilst working on the railway the opportunity arose to buy a series of 6m x 12m Marquees, primarily to help out a local volunteer organisation with a view to undertaking private rentals to pay off the capital outlay. Within 3 months a fully fledged marquee business was born and as well as our current director 2 other full time team members quickly came on board.
Growing into Event Equipment
As the marquee business grew, we quickly became a leading supplier of tables & chairs, dance floors and indoor staging for both private parties & corporate events. We had a fleet of 3 trucks & 2 vans. From here we dropped the "Halifax Marquees" Brand & Event Equipment Hite was born.
Festival Staging
Throughout 2007 to 2008 our outdoor event reach was growing and we were increasingly being asked to provide small outdoor staging for festivals and city park events. After much market research and travelling the world looking at various manufacturers we partnered with Dansk Mobilscene in Denmark & StageMobil in Germany to Bring the First 55sqm XLR Curved Roof Mobile Stage into the country. By the start of 2010 We had acquired an additional 2 mobile stages onto the fleet.
LED Screens
Following the growth of the outdoor festival staging side of the business we then began consultation with various hydraulics and mechanical design engineers to produce the first UK Manufactured Open sided Van Mounted mobile LED Screen. The screen was launched just in-time for the 2010 world cup and was widely used as a low cost IMAG screen for small events and brand launches across the country.
